The most important and powerful but highly undervalued tool for successful innovation is the human mind. Successful innovation demands the full potential of creative intelligence: from analytical thinking to uninhibited fantasy, from inspiring exchanges in a group to quiet reflection alone. At one point rigorous examination is necessary, but at another stage it becomes a barrier.

Training the mind

But knowing how the mind creates ideas is not enough. We need to train our minds and create a culture that supports the creative potential.
