Das 1999 mit Künstlern wie Michael Nyman begonnene Experiment der Verbindung von digitalen, vernetzen Räumen des Internet mit den realen Lebensräumen unserer Städte wird mit Klangpark 2000 fortgesetzt. Ein adäquates Gestaltungsprinzip ist die Zusammenarbeit von international renommierten Komponisten aus verschiedenen Generationen.
Klangpark 2000 - a soundtrack for the Danube - der Fluss als Ader, durch die das wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Blut fließt, das Mittel- und Osteuropa verbindet. Ein kritischer Punkt in der Geschichte der Region, an der Schwelle zu einer umfassenderen Integration. In diesem Kontext sind Maria Tanases Lieder der inspirative Kern des musikalischen Materials, das bei Klangpark zum Einsatz kommt.Jeder Tag ist einem speziellen Stück gewidmet, das transformiert und interpretiert wird. Maria Tanase wurde 1913 geboren und starb 1963 in Bukarest - als populärste Schlagersängerin Rumäniens.
