Klangpark 2001 transforms the Donaupark into an impressive acoustic environment – music for a river and for passers-by. With his sound designs over Klangpark Vladislav Delay trys to achieve the reactions in public space between one and the others in infinite ways.
An essential characteristic of Ars Electronica and the Linzer Klangwolke — and one that has retained its importance to this day — is the principle of artistic intervention in public spaces. The experiment begun 1999 and 2000 by artists like Michael Nyman and Alexander Balanesu to link up the digital, networked realms of the Internet with the real spaces of city life will be carried on by Klangpark 2001.
Under the theme of 'Mirroring ourselves – (over)takeover' Vladislav Delay designs an improvisational soundfield for Klangpark 2001, starting from these ideas:

Klangpark 2001 verwandelt den Donaupark in ein eindrucksvolles akustisches Environment – Musik für einen Fluss und für Passanten. Mit seinen speziell für den Klangpark entwickelten elektronischen Sound Designs stellt der junge skandinavische Musiker Valdislav Delay einmal mehr seine faszinierende Musikalität des Digitalen unter Beweis.
Ein wesentliches und bis heute wichtiges Charakteristikum von Ars Electronica und Linzer Klangwolke ist das Prinzip der künstlerischen Intervention im öffentlichen Raum. Das 1999 und 2000 mit Künstlern wie Michael Nyman und Alexander Balanescu begonnene Experiment der Verbindung von digitalen, vernetzen Räumen des Internet mit den realen Lebensräumen unserer Städte wird mit Klangpark 2001 fortgesetzt.
Unter dem Titel 'wir spiegeln uns selbst – (über) takeover' entwickelt Vladislav Delay für Klangpark 2001 ein improvisiertes Klangfeld, ausgehend von folgenden Gedanken:
da draußen liegen die reaktionären medien
individuen sprechen über ihre schaffensvisionen.
verarbeiten die ströme, (laufend) das antlitz der kunst manipulierend.
immer mehr hat
neben dem künstler
auch der einzelne beobachter
