Simon Schießl was born in 1972 and studied physics, engineering and media theory in Munich and Berlin. Since 1999, he has been creating concepts for and acting as technical director of interactive installations; affiliated with the MIT Media Lab in Boston since September 2002. The spectrum of his work ranges from kinetic objects and light installations to visualized algorithms.
