Hello to everybody who's still subscribed on this list ...
The Infowar list was created to establish an accompanying discussion to the
Ars Electronica Festival 1998.
While we closed our festival lists in the recent years soon after the
festival, the Infowar list was kept running since some people asked for it,
and some relevant discussions were going on.
The list had its downs, but I think it served the festival and the
discussion of the festival theme in an excellent way.
Although, since the end of the festival, it ran unmoderated and in form and
content depending on the people who used it.
After all we are already preparing the next festival, and we think its
defenitely time to close the list. There are some other high qualityl ists
related to this topics , so I think we don't stall the flow of information
by closing the list.
I'ld like to thank all the contributers of this discussion and also Oliver
Frommel who took care of the technical aspects of the list with high
responsibilitiy.

Director Ars Electronica
