That propaganda was useful to the western military machine and to the weapons
development industry. Science and space explorations benefited as well, a
small plus.
It must be damned awkward for these institutions to be caught without a
legitimate enemy or threat!
But as long as there is oil in certain regions there'll always be an excuse
for war, though, as we keep seeing, the only information we are allowed to get
is about some other, substitute rationale, for the strongarm excercise!
