Reading all these postings on Infowar, infopeace has my head spinning.
Here in the north of Eire we are in the middle of an all out full scale
infowar. I am referring to the new (all party) agreement on the future of
this part of the world. All of the political parties including the British
and Irish governments are in agreement with the exception of some extreme
right wing groups on the fringes. Still, how can this be? The Republican
movement insist that the document and a yes vote in the referendum will lea=
d
the way to a united Ireland, while the Unionists insist that the document
and a yes vote will strengthen the union with Briton??? what=B9s going on?
The media has jumped on the band wagon for a yes vote from all sides. Even
a leaked document from the British government a few weeks ago showed clearl=
y
how the media was to sell the agreement to the public. Infowar hello??
People here are weary of war, everyone wants peace and it seems that the
government=B9s infowar campaign will be sold by advertising alone (Saatchi =
&
Saatchi offered their services for free) without having to pull out there
big guns...a visit by Clinton.
Steve Mann would do well to pay a visit to Derry or Belfast (the
surveillance capitols of Europe). I would be interested in seeing how far h=
e
would get before being arrested, imprisoned, interrogated and extradited.
Still, on another note:
Emmanuelle Baron in one of her posting said:
War ? isnt' it a men affair ? Do somebody know a case in the human history
where women have declared war ? I would be very curious to know the motives
of such a behavior if it has already existed...
Well, Margaret Thatcher springs to mind...and there was the Falklands as
well.
Yours etc...
