not there. Instead, an automated robo-voice, apparently *female*
genotype with phone-sex authority, explains to me that "the only thing
that matters is the matter itself, the gaseous
ripping-apart-at-the-seams, as if you were giving birth, as if oblivion
were a gigantic shit waiting to happen, all thoughts finally executed in
terminal grief, you, *Dead Man*, the cunning crapshooter who gambles
with words that never come up when he wants them to, snake eyes (*Dead
Man*), born loser, filling up with piles and piles of unexcretable shit,
really full of shit now, more full of shit than you can ever remember
being, rolling and staying awake at night unable to sleep because the
shit demands your attention, it curls and curdles and cuddles up within
you so that you never forget what you're made of, who made you (The
Shit-God, the Ultimate Crap-ola), what you're worth (ain't worth a shit,
that's for sure!), what your life has come to (the shit has hit the
fan? you wish!), the fear embodying your trembling artist hand as it
desperately tries to relate to this nominal irregularity (*Dead Man*
Walking), your odor, baby, the smell of overdetermined decomposition
spilling more word rain on to the Inter-Face your avatar has become..."
