Anna Friz

Anna Friz is a sound and radio artist, curator, and avid radio pirate. She has produced original works for ORF Kunstradio, Danmarks Radio, CBC Canada and numerous campus/community radio stations in Canada. Since recently moving to Montreal, she has performed in audiophonic and multimedia events with Studio XX, Videographe and Silophone, and Winnipeg's Send+Receive Festival of Sound; and will be presenting a new sound-based installation at the Akademie der Künste in Berlin for the exhibition "Glück Stadt Raum" in
October 2002. Anna is interested in the potential for sound and radio, as well as the power of the absurd, to enable resistance to corporate agendas and state territorializations. Further to this, she is an Irreverend of the Church of Harvey Christ, heard weekly on CKUT FM Montreal (www.ckut.ca). She is currently completing a Masters in Media Studies at Concordia University.
