Marek Walczak. Marek's online and installation pieces merge architecture, net art and performance. Recent projects include Apartment, seen in the Whitney Museum of American Art's 'Data Dynamics' exhibit, 2001, and WonderWalker , commissioned by the Walker Arts Center, both with Martin Wattenberg. Other projects include Adrift, 1997 - 2001, a multi-location 3D performance with Helen Thorington and Jesse Gilbert, first performed at Ars Electronica 97, and installed as a panoramic spectacle at the New Museum, New York, October 2001; Suspension, 1997, in collaboration with Jordan Crandall, at Documenta X, Kassel, Germany. He studied at the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London, and the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture at The Cooper Union, New York.


Martin Wattenberg (USA)
 


Martin Wattenberg is a New York-based digital artist whose work centers on the theme of mapping information. Recent pieces include The Shape of Song, commissioned by Turbulence.org, as well as two collaborations with Marek Walczak: *Apartment*, and *WonderWalker*, commissioned by the Walker Arts Center. Wattenberg also works in the field of financial data visualization and is known for the SmartMoney.com Map of the Market. He holds a Ph.D. in mathematics from U.C. Berkeley.
