i can hardly believe that a comment has not been made regarding this! this map is so relevant to our digital / earth-human-world culture. it is hard to understand why we continue to keep such and archaic view of the world. check these: map1 & map2 . the maps are circa 16th century! what our schools teach with is updated, but visually the same. some people can see the future. some can see that we are almost afraid of it. buckminster fuller - wherever you are now - the future will give you more respect - i am sure. thanks ars electronica.
