Ph.D. candidate in 20th century art and theory in the Department of Art History and Archaeology at Columbia University, New York. In 2001–2003 coordinator of the Rhizome ArtBase. Currently researcher in residence at Bootlab, a nonprofit media organization in Berlin.

11:00 – 11:20 Geetha Narayanan (IND)
Founder and director of Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore, dedicated to establishing new models of educational institutions. Involved in a program that seeks to develop and train teachers for underserved communities.

Professor of Technoetic Arts and Director of the Planetary Collegium, University of Plymouth; Adjunct Professor in Design and Media Arts, University of California, Los Angeles; editor of Technoetic Arts: a journal of Speculative Research

12:10 – 12:30 Sherry Turkle (USA)
Abby Rockefeller Mauzé Professor of the Social Studies of Science and Technology at MIT. Founder and director of the MIT Initiative on Technology and Self. Author of numerous articles on psychoanalysis and culture. Received a joint doctorate in sociology and personality psychology. Is a licensed clinical psychologist.

12:30 – 12:50 Marvin Minsky (USA) – Video conference
Mathematician, computer scientist and author. One of the pioneers of intelligence-based mechanical robotics. Built the first neural network simulator in 1951, a confocal scanning microsope in 1955 and the first head-mounted graphical display in 1963. Toshiba professor of Media Arts and Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Co-founder of MIT’s Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
