Corpora in Si(gh)te
“Corpora in Si(gh)te” consists of numerous sensors that measure temperature, brightness, sound level, humidity, wind direction and wind speed. The resulting values and data are processed by a computer program and fed into a sort of nervous system that then forms new nodes, new “synapses.” What gradually takes shape thereby is a cellular network that constitutes a virtual organism. “Corpora in Si(gh)te” was submitted for prize consideration to the 2009 Prix Ars Electronica and awarded an Honorary Mention in the Hybrid Art category.
