RUHE – RAUM - BEWEGUNG
Gerhard Funk/A

The interactive installation plays upon the interlinked feedback effect between individual and environment. The floor of the installation space is divided into 12 pictoral zones, each containing 16 fields. When a viewer enters one of the zones, the corresponding structural graphic component is projected onto the wall. The structural images are designed in such a way that linear and rotating movement effects appear in conjunction with the color animation. As a result of the viewer walking through the installation space, new structures are continuously generated and projected. Most viewers manifest the desire to intentionally construct specific structures interactively with the projected images. However, this attempt to produce desired textures on the walls is disturbed by the presence of other people.
Ruhe – RAUM – Bewegung has been developed at the ARCHIMEDIA Institute.
