The theme of this work is movement – the visualization of concepts by means of typography and animation. The assignment of the project group of the HBLA for Artistic Design Linz was to implement this theme using multi-media. The theme of this work is movement – the visualization of concepts by means of typography and animation. Our assignment was to implement this theme using multi-media, to create visuals which would get across meanings, expressively and so that they are easy to remember. Lettering was used as a means of expression: tension, calm, contrast, emphasis were all produced by making use of the possibilities of typographic design with regard to form, rhythm and formation. Animation and sound were used to heighten perception. It was a semester project in which we were instructed in the mechanisms of media, visual rhetoric and dramaturgical principles.
