derelictedATMOSHPHERES
Barbara Siegel (AT)

The visitor to this installation space enters a free-standing cylinder in which he/she is surrounded by a 360° projection of ancient French chateaux, some of which are deserted. Through a combination of photography and film, the panorama comes alive: a door slams shut; the flames in a fireplace flare up; a flock of ravens darts past. The impression is further intensified by authentic sounds that are embedded in the electronic soundscape like the whooshing of the wind and the chirping of crickets.“derelictedATMOSPHERES” allows visitors to immerse themselves in a morbidly charming world of things past.
