Digital processes break down the voice of a singer into its component parts, and then transform and duplicate them until the listener can no longer clearly differentiate between the actual voice and the digital one. What’s more, the singer’s image is projected onto a display, where it, in turn, is overlaid by a digital face that comes to develop a life of its own
