Forum V – Digital Communities
Agnese Trocchi, Annalisa Pelizza, Ciro d’Aniello (IT)

What needs and interests are propelling digital communities forward? From Akshaya, which is providing access to IT infrastructure in India’s State of Kerala, to the Free Software Foundation—all across this wide spectrum of factors motivating people to link up in networks, what they have in common is the vision of a vibrant Internet culture beyond profit-oriented interests. Participants will discuss the significance of digital communities for public opinion formation and their contribution to communications culture.
