This is the Ars Electronica history-lounge. Slow-scan and tele-facsimile in “Welt in 24 Stunden”; reality-TV in “Hotel Pompino” and “Stadtwerkstatt TV”; global data streams and tele-collaboration in “realtime,”, “horizontal radio” and the media fictions of TNC Network—many of the media formats and modes of usage that are taken completely for granted today were first tested, designed and defined by artists.
