Papierpixel Aram Bartholl (DE)
Papierpixel is a manually-controlled, B&W display with a 6x6 pixel resolution. Each of the 36 pixels is constantly illuminated from the rear by a single bulb of a string of Christmas tree lights. The individual pixels are controlled by a perforated paper strip that resembles the system used in an old-fashioned nickelodeon or an early punched-card computer.
