Make it Simple
urban forest
Markus Appelbäck (SE), Håkan Carlsson (SE), Staffan Björk (SE), Eddy Svensson (SE), Linus Lundahl (SE)

Every tree in this forest is a gigantic microphone and reording device. Users can take a tree with them ans collect sounds from the surounding forest. Uraban forest eliminates the boundary between city life and nature. The use of abstract forms to represent the tree-like objects that are to be found in the urban sphere in which we live our lives is our attempt to show a way that enables people to open up to the landscape auround them. What is an urban forest? Does it consist of odors, the lights, the steel, the traffic and the constantly increasing number of people moving around in it?
