Ars Electronica 2000 Vectorial Elevation, Relational Architecture #4 Rafael Lozano-Hemmer/MEX/CDN
Vectorial Elevation transformed Mexico City’s historic center for two weeks with a light installation of impressive dimensions. Internet users could create their own light architectures over the National Palace, City Hall, the Cathedral and the Templo Mayor Aztec ruins and experience their implementation via Webcam. The project attempted to establish new creative relationships between control technologies, ominous urban landshapes and a local and remote public. Cyberarts 2000 presents a documentation of this site-specific intervention.
