Center Exhibition: The Hidden World of Noise and Voice
The presence of a separate world of digital data and information flows remains hidden from us without the help of technical aids. The Ars Electronica Center’s new exhibit displays aesthetic and sensory observatories for the perception of this parallel reality. This is a matter of reflecting physically dimensioned and digitally determined “spaces” in one another, and has to do with technological concepts that can be described as mixed reality and augmented reality. Hidden Worlds approaches this with humor, whereby the conception of virtuality as a sort of “world of the spirits” is completely intentional.
