Biological Habitat: Breeding Spaces Technology, Made in Space
The “Made in Biosphere & Made in Space” project plans to use DNA as cosmic universal code: strands of DNA embedded in bioreactors are to develop autonomously into new forms of life in the biosphere and in outer space. In contrast to existing creatures whose DNA is determined by environmental influences and the laws of physics, life in the embryonic state is emancipated from these prescriptions. Biological Habitat takes advantage of this mode of development and provides a biotope that is not determined by laws operational on planet Earth but rather by conditions prevailing in outer space.
