Herinnerdingen – Things to remember
Prix Ars Electronica 2007 Honorary Mention "Digital Communities"
Boudewijn Koole (NL) made a film together with a 14-year-old girl who had lost her father. In this film she was looking for people who could tell something about him. The purifying effect that producing the film had on her was the immediate reason he started developing the idea of Herinnerdingen. During the stifo@sandberg masterclass he worked together with designer Ryan Oduber on the idea of giving children a way to give shape to the beloved person who had died and to give them a platform to talk to their peers. Herinnerdingen is the result.
