Center Exhibition: The Hidden World of Noise and Voice

A multi-user augmented-reality system that makes the acoustic space that constantly envelops us visible in a playful and surprising form. Hidden Worlds of Noise and Voice is a roundtable conversation for six participants outfitted with so-called see-through data glasses. A conversation at the roundtable appears as a virtual sculpture shaped by its own voice. This is not merely a matter of establishing a communications space into which one can toss words, so to speak; users are also able to impart a shape to their own voices.

Realized with support of the Siemens Artist in Residence Project at Ars Electronica.
