Ars Electronica and Telekom Austria have been jointly curating a permanent exhibition space in Vienna since July 2007. Lives linked up in networks with other people, linked up within the system, linked up between real and virtual worlds—technological developments in recent years have been yielding complex and far-reaching consequences, whereas the social and cultural process of reflecting about them has been rather slow to get up to speed. net.culture. space has been designed as a platform hosting an interdisciplinary process of coming to terms with these phenomena, one that stages rotating interactive scenarios meant to foster the development and exchange of
ideas, concepts and visions. During Ars Electronica 2007, the Ars Electronica Animation Festival will be screened simultaneously in Linz, Kiev and the net.culture.space in Vienna’s Museumsquartier.
