SUNDAY-files Maia Gusberti, Nik Thönen (AT)
Using the example of workplaces under 24/7 surveillance, SUNDAY-files is an experimental installation having to do with work, space and time. The basis of this effort is provided by visual material from webcams that monitor workplaces and feed their images in real time onto the Internet. SUNDAY-files are collected on Sundays. And only on Sundays. While these videos of empty offices were being filmed directly from the computer monitor on which they were displayed, the artists tape-recorded the sounds they themselves made while at work on Sunday in order to provide a soundtrack for the edited videos.
