Ars Electronica Futurelab (AT)
The design of the square alludes to the Festival logo, an aerial view of Bondi Beach, Australia, and thus associates it with a beach in Second Life. To achieve this, sand will be heaped onto the real Pfarrplatz to form a beach, and a replica of it will be installed in Second Life. Thus, the physical reality of the cityscape will blend together with the virtual world of Second Life to form a scenario in which festivalgoers and avatars moving about in this setting can interact.
