The handful of humans who survive a deadly virus attack flee from their cities in an attempt to survive. Crammed into rusty steel cabins aboard gigantic oil tankers, they set out on the high seas on an uncertain course that they hope will take them to a new land and salvation. But it soon turns out that their leader—the very man who’s attempting to secure the whole party’s survival—is himself infected and thus terminally ill. In sight of the island they’ve been longing to reach, he decides to take his own life in order to save the lives of the others ...
