Retina Ars Electronica Futurelab (AT)
299,792,458 meters is the unfathomable distance the sun’s electromagnetic radiation travels in a single second. After an 8 minute, 19 second trip, it reaches Earth, where it’s reflected by (practically) everything. Captured by the eye, transformed by the retina into a stimulus that’s transported by the optic nerve to the brain, the result is a picture of the world we live in.
