FUWAPICA & RGBy – Glow in Your Favorite Color!
MONGOOSE STUDIO
Open Days at the Ars Electronica Center, January 2 to 4, 2009

“FUWAPICA” is a piece of furniture designed for seating. It changes its color depending on how many people are seated on it, how they touch it and their seating position. Sit down, relax and enjoy the play of colors!

“RGBy” is a light source that can register and reproduce colors from any other surface—from a blooming plant to your favorite article of clothing. Our memories and feelings that are connected with these objects light up as well with “RGBy”. Three LED lamps (red, green and blue) shine onto the selected surface. A color sensor registers how strongly the individual colors are reflected and, from the interrelationship of the data, calculates the color of the background.
