“Shoe-free Zone between Real and Virtual Space”
With their omnipresence having become something we take completely for granted, digital media (computer, internet, cellphone, etc.) are changing our lives—how we work, how we express and depict ourselves, how we see ourselves. We create digital doppelgänger with every e-mail we write, with every website we google, when we make photos available online or play digitally networked computer games. The Digital Age has created a very specific view of humankind. The projects that make up Funky Pixels deal with these changes and illustrate creative new linkups between human and machine, between real and virtual space.
