Center Exhibition: Cyclops – an observing giant
Shunji Yamanaka - Leading Edge Design/J

Cyclops is a humanoid, interactive machine with a flexible spine and a single eye. When you notice that Cyclops is looking at you, you should move as slowly as possible! And take some time to consider the meaning of the term “intelligent lifelikeness” while you’re observing the behavior and lithe movements of this machine in human form.
