Prix Ars Electronica 2007 „Digital Musics. Honorary Mention“
Anne Wellmer (DE/NL), born in 1966, studied composition with the electronic-music pioneer Alvin Lucier. Among Wellmer’s work are performances, installations, experimental radio works, network projects, musictheater pieces, and compositions for dance and theater. As an improviser, Wellmer performs with various electronic instruments, such as the VCS3 EMS Synthi, the ARP 2600, the STEIM crackle box and laptops.
