Prix Ars Electronica 2007 MEDIA.ART.RESEARCH AWARD . Acknowledgment of a Contribution to the Field

Thomas Dreher (DE), born in 1957, is an art historian. Since 1985, he has written articles, critiques and reviews for art journals (e.g. das kunstwerk, Artefactum) and since 1999 for IASLonline. His printed publications include: Konzeptuelle Kunst in Amerika und England zwischen 1963 und 1976 (dissertation, Frankfurt on Main: 1992); Performance Art seit 1945: Aktionstheater und Intermedia (Munich: 2001). His key fields are: intermedia art and, in particular, action, conceptual, and net art. His website includes a large number of his texts on art from the 1960s onwards http://dreher.netzliteratur.net
