Honorary Mention Prix Ars Electronica 2008 „u19-freestyle computing“
Gewand und Glaube (Clothing and Faith) is a multicultural knowledge portal in the form of an interactive crossword puzzle. These students’ aim is to shed light on the role of women in the world’s major religions by considering the formation of women’s networks designed to manage practical aspects of everyday life. The Gewand und Glaube website was developed in a “Visual Design – New Media” class; the content was generated in conjunction with religious instruction at the school. The idea of a broad-based link-up of the various approaches to and interconnections among these highly diverse topics was then implemented using text-based content and visual imagery.
