David OReilly (IR) / Holy Ghost Productions
Honorary Mention Prix Ars Electronica 2008 "Computer Animation / Film / VFX"

David O'Reilly, born 1985, is a young director working in the field of animation. After working with some of the most prestigious London studios in his teens, he broke away in 2005 to pursue filming independently. He has since made a concerted effort toward innovation through his many short films, experimental animations and music videos. Cultural commentator Xeni Jardin describes his style as "somewhere between Kubrick and Kaufman and Ketamine". David currently lives and works in Berlin.
