Ars Electronica 2009
The very best of Ars Electronica 1979 - actual
u19 – freestyle festival
fischtraum:(a
Simon Groihofer
Honorary Mention „u19-freestyle computing“ 2008

The computer-generated images in “fischtraum:(a” are about as far from realistic depictions as you can get. They’re more like snapshots of a dreamland. This is meant to enable everyone who views it to identify with particular scenes and thereby to experience a dream in a conscious state. The intention is for viewers to be able to recognize a “dream logic” that links together these strange happenings. Simon Groihofer created the 3D models and animated sequences with Anim8or, which can’t produce photo-realistic images but does make it possible to quickly implement ideas.
