Ars Electronica 2009
The very best of Ars Electronica 1979 - actual
no hassel by tosca
tosca, founded in 1994 by Richard Dorfmeister and Rupert Huber, is one of the most influential and, at the same time, least boisterous proponents of so-called electronic music. Following Opera (1997), Suzuki (2000), Dehli 9 (2003) and j.a.c. (2005), tosca’s new album no hassel will be released on Kruder & Dorfmeister’s G-Stone label in early 2009 as a CD with an accompanying DVD featuring videos by Fritz Fitzke. The world premiere of no hassel at Ars Electronica 2008 will blend electronic and acoustic sounds and structures with Fitzke’s world of visual imagery. Integration of the venue space into the performance, a basic attitude of non-intentional creativity and music-making, a naturalistic link-up of musical and visual temporality, and a playful, anarchistic mode of dealing with conceptuality are traits that can be mentioned in describing no hassel...
