Ars Electronica 2009
The very best of Ars Electronica 1979 - actual
campus | Tokyo Conference
Tetsuya Kakuta (JP)

The boundary of Art and Technology has become vague gradually. Obviously, the number of researchers and artists crossing the boundary between the two fields—in both directions—has been steadily increasing. The University of Tokyo is one of the world’s leading institutes of technology. The works on display in the campus | Tokyo exhibition are hybrid projects and interdisciplinary link-ups of media technology and artistic forms of expression. Staged jointly with the Art University Linz and Zurich University of the Arts, this conference will examine efforts at crossover between art and technology in order to give students and faculty members the opportunity to present their research and to get valuable feedback. This conclave is designed to promote exchange and to inspire further innovation.
