This sixth installment of Ars Electronica’s gala concert night gets back to this series’ roots by focusing on the man-music-technology nexus. The concert will establish a link between what might be seen from a contemporary perspective as “old” New Music and the latest trends in this genre: electroacoustic music by Dieter Kaufmann, visualized orchestral works by Edgar Varése, Elliot Carter and Michel van der Aa, traditional Chinese instruments with electronics and acrobatic voice performance, which audience members can experience with their senses and also participate in interactively.
