All of Linz - A Group Photo fom Above
During the festival 2007 Ars Electronica invited everyone in Linz to take part in a group portrait, and hundreds of Linzers responded by sending messages directly back via the heavens—on banners, “creatively” mowed lawns and other works of art! This picture of the entire city was produced by an aircraft specially equipped for orthographic photography, snapped from an altitude of approximately 1,100 meters. During a four-hour fly over, this eye-in-thesky took about 4,000 high-resolution images of Linz, its inhabitants and the many interesting activities they planned especially for the occasion.
