+ Face instruments <-> Visualizer
Daito Manabe (JP), Performance at SKY LOFT
Open Days at the Ars Electronica Center
January 2 to 4, 2009

This performance is composition of "face visualizer" and "face instruments", which basically use face as "input-output device" and also apply output media as sound. These electrodes can be input and output with changing a switch. This is a updated piece which I created and explored, then uploaded to youtube which astonishingly got over 1 million access in a month. First of all, I refered french researcher Duchenne, G.B experiment which utilized myoelectric sensor and low frequency pulse generator, and then I have started this experimental project with big challenge of "if I can copy someone's face ??".

For further information on Daito Manabe go to: http://www.daito.ws/index_e.html or http://www.youtube.com/user/daito.
