Der Traum des Computers
Gottfried Haider (AT)
Honorary Mention Prix Ars Electronica 1998 "Cybergeneration u19 - freestyle computing"

Der Traum des Computers is a screen-saver representing the computer's "dream" in ASCI I form. What does a computer actually do, when the screen-saver comes on? A very young computer freak might say then that the computer is sleeping. When a computer sleeps, does it at least dream something? Maybe a dream of ASCII signs? It is strange but certainly logical. So I went to work and programmed this program with Turbo Pascal.
