Mouse Hunt
Rhythm & Hues Studios completed 38 scenes of visual effects for the DreamWorks SKG film. Rhythm & Hues produced a full photorealistic mouse (including full motion and facial enhancement,) a cat, photoreal cherries, olives and cheese, smoke and fire effects and composited live action and CG elements, including snow over live elements.
The biggest challenge the 60 person team faced was creating realistic looking fur on the mouse and writing special software for the fur. Integrating CG mouse and cat characters and intercutting them with the live action was very demanding as well.
