Honorary Mention Prix Ars Electronica 1999 "Cybergeneration u19 - freestyle computing"

”Our Day” - My class wanted to make an interactive multimedia book on the computer. First we wanted to write a ghost story, but because the children in my class come from many different countries and every child has a different story to tell, we decided to write about a day at school and at home. Our teacher had us do the stories and pictures as homework, and some of the children have a computer at home. A friend of my father’s helped us record the videos, because he has a digital video camera, but we made the videos ourselves. For the sound recordings I borrowed a mini-disc recorder from my mother. My father helped us to adapt the pictures. The teacher didn’t help us, because she doesn’t know so much about using a computer.
