The five elements of the Audiovisual Environment Suite blend visual and acoustic abstractions into a vision of a creative way of working with the computer. The project makes it possible to create and perform dynamic animation and sound in ways that are direct, engaging, gestural and communicative. Particular attention is paid to sound as an expressive element beyond music and beyond actual sound recordings. Ephemeral dynamic media “blossom” from the expressive “voice” of a human user. These software modules are also the basis for the Scribble concert performance
