Watashi-chan
Tomoko Ueyama/J

An article of clothing outfitted with inflatable balloons makes sounds visible-an additional sense organ for the person wearing it. Watashi-chan reacts to sounds that cannot be consciously perceived: three-dimensional, encompassing the entirety of the surrounding space. The project shows, how many different sounds and noises exist around a person and what kind of tunes there are in the sound at this very moment.
