The animated work o fortuna was originally based on Carl Orff’s music for the text O Fortuna from Carmina Burana – which explains the name. The plot of my work more or less relates to the text of the same name: a vanquished figure once again takes heart and so triumphs in the end. All luck has deserted the figure who was previously so superior.
In my original version of o fortuna, I used Carl Orff’s composition as background music, as major component of this animated work.
Yet, unfortunately, in order to comply with the entry regulations, I had to replace the composition by sounds distorted or modified on the computer, sounds which I thought fit this animation, this duel.
